Now where'd I leave that shop manual?

So here it is Friday afternoon—work is done for the week, and hot damn, I’ve even got a date. On the other hand, this assignation is with the rear brakes of my ’84 Z28, so I guess that means tonight will be more work than date. Then again, I shouldn’t make this sound so bad. The project in question is a low-buck brake upgrade for third-gen Camaros, which you’ll see in a future issue. It’ll make for a long work day, but I am anxious to see what the swap to high-performance rotors, pads, and stainless lines will do for the stopping ability of an otherwise stock-suspended car. I’m also anxious to see how we’re going to get the lower caliper pin out on the right rear disc, since it runs right smack into the rear control arm, even with the ratchet removed. But hey, dates are supposed to be fun, right? I’ll let you know how I make out with this one.
