Where the heck am I going to store all of this stuff?
I’m sure we’ve all been there, or in my case are there. I’m talking about the limited space I have at the house. Stashing the El Camino is one thing; it sits in the RV access portion of the driveway. However, it’s all the other components like parts and tools—I’m having an issue of where to store all the “stuff”. As of now, the side of my house is jam-packed with “stuff”. I’ve got a 100-gallon air compressor, two sets of rims and tires, one complete 9-inch rear end, a complete top-end kit (cylinder heads and manifold), front/rear bumpers with light bezels, a new transmission, and a 6-cylinder motor/tranny combo we pulled out of my brothers Nova. Not to mention, more “stuff” is coming—practically daily.
You would think I would get some kind of shed, right? Well, I did. It’s full. I’ve got it crammed with paint supplies from a past story. It’s crowded with sand paper, paint, bondo, paint-guns, and pretty much everything else you would need to paint and prep a car. Then, there’s the other shed. That’s right. I’ve got another one. Don’t worry, that one is just as full. This other sheds got manifolds, distributors, a nitrous unit, one 50-lb. bag of sand-blast material and various gasket kits.
To be blunt, I’m basically running out of room and it doesn’t look like I’m getting a bigger house any time soon. Good thing our Mediterranean weather system here in Los Angeles keeps the “wet” away and rare. I seriously roll my eyes at the sight of more stuff showing up to the house. Maybe, I should just start digging a bomb-shelter like storage facility underground. At least it will stay cooler down there. Not likely. The department of safety would probably condemn the house.
Don’t be surprised if I show up to Henry D’s house with some truck loads of parts…got any room?
If you got any cool ideas on how you store your “stuff”, let us know. I’d love to save some room…
