Think about it, you can save gas and miles, all in one trip. How so? I’m talking about car pooling here folks. Yes, it does require some sort of forethought and planning of routes and such, but in the long-run everyone benefits—even the ones who don’t normally carpool. Even if you carpooled once a week—you would be saving loads of miles and spending less times at the pump. For example, editor H and I try to car pool at the very least, once a week. When you factor in our round trip of fifty miles, we have the potential to both save 200 miles a month. When you add up those miles month to month over a year—that’s 2,400 miles saved annually. That’s less wear and tear on our engines, miles and fuel. Plus, it puts fewer cars on the road. In my book, that’s better for everyone. Besides, it’s always nice to have coffee talk with someone in the morning through the boring drive into the office. We throw around story ideas and get stuff done—and that’s what it’s all about.
