I Still Don’t Know How it Works…

GTech was nice enough to send our magazine their new PRO RR meter. Quite frankly, this thing is absolutely amazing! I don’t know what makes it tick, but it works! Just think of everything you would really like to know about your vehicle. From skid pad numbers to braking, to zero to sixty—this thing gets it done.

Honestly, the drag-strip mode on the GTech is unquestionably the coolest feature. Not only do you get a trap speed and finish time, but you also get everything in between. For example, it will measure your 60 ft., 330 ft., 1/8 mile, 1,000 ft. and your zero to sixty times. The GTech also has the abiltiy to record up to two hours of data which is available for playback on the GTech screen, or you can download it onto your computer at home. Add the fact it only takes a simple plug into your cigarette lighter and this thing is a true gem. Its easy to follow and it can easily be swapped into another vehicle and ready to test in a matter of minutes.

I smuggled ours out of Henry D’s office for the weekend. With my daily driver, I recorded a 14.5 quarter mile at 97 mph with a 0-60 of 5.9 seconds! This thing really is cool and should win an award for gizmo of the century. Now, if I could only prevent my friends from trying to steal it out of my car…
