The Powerhouse® Digital Precision Cam Degreeing System allows the serious engine builder to degree the camshaft of most domestic engines with extreme accuracy and in record time. This translates into greater precision measurements, more horsepower and torque and faster engine builds. The patented system utilizes an electronic encoder that enables the high-performance engine builder to calculate and display the intake centerline, in crankshaft degrees, to within one-tenth of a degree in about half the time required to accurately use a degree wheel.
The Powerhouse® Digital Precision Cam Degreeing System can be ordered as a “Base Kit” or a “Pro Kit.” Systems ship with both cam lobe and piston dial indicators (also sold individually) and the innovative electronic computer ‘brain” that uses advanced microprocessor technology to import the data and calculate camshaft, piston and crankshaft positions. If you opt for the upgraded Pro Kit, you will also receive engine appropriate adapters for Big and Small Block Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, Oldsmobile or Pontiacs. After installation on the engine and proper setting of BTDC and ATDC timing positions, the Digital Precision Cam Degreeing System computer determines the exact location of the camshaft to within one-tenth of a degree, the most accurate device of its kind currently available. In addition, the system’s compact design allows the camshaft and timing gear to be completely accessible throughout the degreeing process.
