One of the most asked questions here at our CHP is “How do you pick the cars that appear in the magazine?” Well, when you come right down to it, it’s often a matter of “I’ll know what I'm looking for when I see it.” I know that’s pretty ambiguous, but isn’t that the way infatuation works? Sure, we have standards and guidelines. I can tell you I’m into the engine or the suspension, or I dig the wheels, and think the interior’s cool. But whatever it is, it all comes down to, hey, that mix of ingredients floats my boat, and I think it’s a Chevy High car. Inevitably, not all of these cars get to appear in the magazine right away. It’s something of a drag, I know, but it’s just the way things are. Sometimes there aren’t enough pages to go around. But, wait long enough—and some wait quite awhile for their turn—and they’ll make it. It’s sort of cool, because when you boil it down, we go for cars that we get a thing for. You know what I mean. A thing. And when these old friends pop up again, I remember why I was into them in the first place—which is sort of cool.
