Lately I’ve found myself getting more active throughout various message boards…
I know some people avoid it like the plague because they feel it puts them in a vulnerable situation, claiming that they don’t like having anyone and everyone with full access to them. I don’t necessarily agree with that train of thought, and instead I feel everyone should have access in order to say what’s on their mind. Seriously, shouldn’t it be that way? Okay, maybe not full access, but enough to feel that what one says should make a difference. The way I see it, we’re here to generate edit that interests you as the reader, not to shovel what we think is cool or what we need to share with the world based solely on our own personal interest(s).
Besides, I’ve made great friends online, learned up on valuable information from other specialty forums, and more importantly – I’ve been able to interact on a more personal level with readers from all over the county. I should say world, considering I just received an e-mail from a reader in Denmark!
Case in point, I had a chance to talk with Garret about his big-block powered ’67 Camaro that runs 9’s in the quarter-mile on stones alone. If you think the picture of the hoops hanging is impressive, then check out the videos below. There are two angles, one is from the inside, where you get to experience what it's like to stare at the sky for a brief moment, while the other is from the tarmac.
Thanks for sharing Garret, you made my day! And for everyone else, you'll see us all over the forums, so be sure to say hello.
