The Things We See

Magna Charged

The other day I was on my way to Magna Charger when something caught my eye.

Actually, it was hard to miss. At first it resembled a late-model Corvette, at least until I noticed the jet drive. I was a little confused to say the least, wondering if that thing could actually float.

It's not uncommon to see strange things on our SoCal freeways, so I snapped a quick shot and went on my way. That was until I noticed this guy was on my six for the remainder of the trip. As I pulled into the Magna Charger facility, I later learned that he was dropping this thing off to get a supercharger installed and to shoot for a new dual purpose vehicle record. Yep, it's the real deal and he can drive this thing straight into the water from off the streets.

As for how fast it is, I overheard the owner saying that it's topping out around 50 mph. Out of my own curiosity, I'll have to follow up on this and see how it makes out after the install.
