When I came across this old photo, it instantly took me back to that day. Yes, that's me there--with the red hair. I can remember that day so perfectly. At the time, I was three years deep into working at QMP. When the chance came to ditch the shop in favor of a track test-day I was all for it. That day, we were testing different Carburetors for a Chevy High Performance Magazine shoot-out. I thought to myself, "Wow, I'm actually going to be doing something important and involved in a magazine" I fantasized about possibly even working for a magazine one day. I got to see the background on how a photo-shoot works and the work involved. Who knew that not more than six months later, I was actually going to be hired by CHP.
It's strange to think about how fast time flies by. At the time of this photo, I had a Red and Black Mohawk-oblivious to any sort of office work. That day was so hot, and we annihilated the competition (They will go unmentioned), but we left victorious and in high spirits as our hard work paid off. Now, I sit here with shaved head, and clean fingers in front of a computer screen writing about the very thing that I fantasized about 2 years earlier. It's just weird how time flies by and when you are motivated you can do anything.
