Hey, at least gas isn’t four bucks a gallon anymore…

Truth be told, I was a bit worried these last couple months. As gas crept up and over four dollars a gallon, I thought for sure our industry would crumble under its financial burden. It kept a lot of people second guessing their trips to the market and to local malls. I know for myself, I tried my best to keep driving to a minimum and even missed out on some trips to the beach. Yes, it was horrible to think that our very way of life and the dependence on our cars would affect us the way it did. Our cars are the life-blood of who we are. They say, “You are what you drive” and I have a feeling a lot of people more or less “lost” who they were. No more trips down the coast, no more cruising to car shows, and no trips to the drag strip for your local “test & tune” either.

However, recently price per barrel of crude has dropped a bit, giving us an ease at the pumps. Now, with our project Nova carrying the supercharger, Premium fuel must be used. Luckily though, at the time of this fill-up, fuel was only about $3.60/gallon. Not too bad, but still unhappy to fill the Nova up. Like I said, visiting your local filler’ up station isn’t the greatest experience, in fact its down right depressing. On the flip side, at least my twenty dollar bill will go a bit further than it did two months ago.
