Ok, this isn't exactly Chevy talk, but we all need to color outside the lines every once in awhile...
When you break the thing down to its most basic pieces, much of what the CHP team does involves contemplating various mechanisms--a carb, an engine combination, a suspension system, sometimes an entire vehicle--then evaluating how these mechanical systems work, considering the interplay of many parts working as a whole. It seems to me, however, that none of these mechanisms are as fascinating to watch as the mechanism that is our democracy in action. We have the most disparate millions of parts, to be sure, yet somehow it all still works together as a whole. It's easy to forget that not everyone enjoys the rights and freedoms that we do. Watching our system at work is a nice reminder.
