Here's the perfect solution for anyone that's been itching for in-car videos.
Over the past two seasons, I've been wanting to shoot video footage of our 275 Drag Radial Nova in action at various tracks. The biggest problem? The cost and finding a decent way to mount the camera inside the car.
It looks like we've found a solution. During our latest trip to PRI in Orlando, Florida, we had the opportunity to talk with GoPro and they offered one of their cameras for us to test. While our drag season is over, we're planning to mount up and get some cool in-car footage as soon as we can.
So far, we've made a couple of test clips driving into the office and I'm pretty impressed with the video quality and the ability to use it as a basic hand held digital camera. The Motorsports package we received features suction cup and helmet mounts, a waterproof case, 170 degree wide angle lens, and a 5 megapixel sensor. Total cost: less than $200!
