I think my first photo shoot was a success…

So I was given my first shot at featuring a car for one of the stories. Needless to say, but I think the shoot went pretty well considering. I had a perfect day on Saturday. The sun was out and there wasn't a cloud in sight. However, as soon as the sun did go down, it got cold—real fast. Other than that it really didn’t even feel like work. It just felt like I was at a car show snapping images like I usually do. Plus, I know the owners of the car and the shop where I went to take the shots which brought the stress level down to almost nothing. Felt like i was just hanging around with the guys.

All in all, I learned a lot about vehicle placement when you are fighting shadows and also to keep an eye out for detail items. I know now, but at the time of the shoot there were some things I overlooked. For example, the position of the front wheels in correlation to the camera, and I even left a bottle of cleaner in the engine bay when I was shooting the motor. It’s ok though, I took enough shots to cover myself. I even got greedy and tried to get a burnout shot, however my camera settings were wrong and all I got was a dark and grainy mess. Next time.
