Sometimes, we have to put it some overtime to get things done. Or maybe that's just me. In any case, I'm here burning a little late night oil, and my retinas are going to implode if I look at another dyno chart. You'll see what I mean in our May issue. So I decided to take a break and take a photo of some of the things I use to fortify me on these late nights. Diet Coke is a must. I just have one problem with it--they make caffeine free Diet Coke, so where's the double-caffeine Diet Coke? Can't a guy get wired without the calories? Speaking of wired...The Stok black coffee shots, conveniently liberated from my local 7-11, are like one of those "break only in case of emergency" alarm boxes. Come to think of it, I only have one of them, so it's time to reload. Be prepared, you know? And then there's my iPod--I was slow to come around, but now I'm a believer. The right writing music can make all the difference, you know? On the other hand, I don't really like Pez. The smiley face dispenser makes me grin, though, so it's earned a place on my rat's nest of a desk. And as it always happens, so Help Me, this break's over, and I'm off in search of some engine specs...and another Diet Coke.
