We use less, they raise the price...go figure...
Just when I thought things were turning around for us here in L.A. as far as fuel prices are concerned, they (The Man) went and did this? Since the market crashing, consumers are using less of everything--even fuel. Now, they raise the price? Ugh! It's a bit frustrating to say the least. Not only does it give consumers a false sense of hope, but its stressful when they (The Man) mess with my emotions also. Take my money--fine. Pull on my emotions--I'm not having that!
For the most part, I drive my four-cylinder turbo commuter car into the office. However, more recently I've decided to start taking in my girlfriends Chevy Avalanche into work instead. I figured with the recent drop in gas prices I could finally afford to start driving a truck. Also, I would be cutting down on 50 miles per day on my car. I'd rather put the miles on the old truck considering its already hit and topped the 100K marker. Now though, I might have to start bringing in my car instead. I hate putting miles on the dang car but these prices are killing me. The truck gets "ok" gas mileage, and even though my turbo four requires premium fuel, it religiously sits in the 30-miles per gallon area.
I'm going to sit it out a while (in the truck) to see where these prices are headed, however I may be finding myself back into the four-banger sooner than I had anticipated.
