Well, it's finally "there". At the paint shop of course...

Yes yes, I know. It's been almost a year since I've done anything with the El Camino. Give me a break. With the rapid movement we have been doing on the Nova, it has left little time to get a handle on the El Camino. However, all is not lost. Last week, I finally found the time to drop the 'ol sled off at Rubio's Body Shop in San Fernando. Although, the body guys haven't touched it yet, I was assured by the painter that they would certainly be starting on it later on in the week. Plus, Henry D wants a shot of it for the cover. That's awesome in my book. I am in the process of obtaining a new hood and new driver's side fender as well. There is too much rot for the body shop to fix and ordering the new panels will be cheaper in the long run.

...can't wait 'till this thing has got some paint on it. I'll be posting updates on the car as the paint and body process moves along.
