Is it me? Or does it always seem like CALTRANS is messing up more streets?

I am almost completely convinced that CALTRANS messes up streets on purpose. Plus, it always seems like they do it on the most heavily used streets—causing massive traffic jams. Well, I guess it doesn’t help that most drivers these days are completely oblivious to road signs and are usually on the phone. Additionally, “rubber-necking” probably doesn’t help either. I mean, who cares what the construction workers are doing. Just drive already!

However, am I that far off when I say that when the street is finally, “done”—its more messed up than it was before they started working on it. The streets look like a battlefield in Normandy. When they replace the asphalt in the ditches they dig, its like driving over mountains. Can’t they make the asphalt even with the original asphalt? Ugh! I don’t know. Maybe, I’m just not looking forward to jumping in the car and sitting in traffic right now. That’s exactly what ill be doing. Sitting.
