The vehicle which I normally commute to work was down for the count. I sent it over to Rubio's Auto Body in Sun Valley, CA to fix the door a women had slammed which hyperextended the hinges on the passenger side. In the meantime, I jumped into my buddies '93 Typhoon. Its a fairly large 4.3L V-6 engine with a larger turbo upgrade, all-wheel drive, higher-stall converter, Z06 rims and tires and Alcohol/Methanol injection to keep things cool. The truck is a blast to drive. My trip to work began like any other at the crack of dawn. I drove the truck my usual route except this time, sitting at the light I noticed the smell of radiator fluid. I took it as a spoof and went on my way figuring it was someone else. However, stop light after stop light it became stronger. I pulled over at to my surprise the smell was coming from a leaking water system, somewhere on the truck. Water was gushing from the bottom of the truck but it was too dark to find out from where. Thankfully I wasn't too far from home. I looped the truck around and made a mad dash to the house to take a closer look. I popped the hood and discovered a rubber block-off hose had corroded to the point of leaking. I'll have to fix it later. Looks like I'll be taking the Nova instead today.
