We're heading out to Orange County, California this weekend for the 2009 Goodguys season kick off. If you're local, this is an event you don't want to miss as the Chevy High Performance crew will be walking the grounds and looking for feature cars.

Goodguys - A tremendous weekend of auto-themed activities starts bright and early Saturday morning with the huge outdoor show & shine as well hundreds of vendor exhibits, the Street Challenge Autocross, live music, kids activities and more! This is the third year Goodguys will start the season deep in the heart of car country in Orange County. A welcome ridge of hi-pressure has built in over the Western U.S. and the forecast looks spectacular all week and weekend with temperatures in the low 70s by Saturday in Costa Mesa.

The 3rd Meguiar’s Orange Copunty Get-Together welcomes all years, makes & models of American powered cars and trucks, so if you’ve got a street rod, hot rod, custom car, muscle car, trick truck or a late model car or truck – this is the place to be! All are welcome from wild to mild, classic and fantastic!

Event registration for participants is located onsite. If you would like to enter your vehicle, come through gate #4 off Arlington Ave and follow the signs registration tent. Two day registration fee is $50 and includes the car and two people. Sunday-only registration fee is $35 and includes the car & two people.

The Street Challenge Autocross is open to all event participants and will be run both days. The special Editor’s Challenge Cup, which will match editor’s of your favorite automotive titles against each other is scheduled for Saturday at high NOON.
