Luckily, I was on my way to the body shop (Rubio's Auto Body) to check on the progress of Project Brutus, our '66 El Camino project vehicle. I was on the move and cruising down the street when I came upon a red light. I sat there like all of the traffic and awaited the light to turn green. When it finally switched I applied some throttle to get the car moving. As I cross the crown of the interstection I progressed towards the other side of the street. Everything was fine, until out of the corner of my eye, a White blur shot across the lanes and BLAM. I just got side-swiped by another car who had no idea I was even flanking them. My car suffered little damage but I will certainly need a new rim and fender. Her car will most likely need a new door. Either way, we walked away from the accident and both of our cars were driveable. Thats the most important. The bad part? Well, I had JUST picked the car up from Rubio's a week earlier. Looks like it's going back there again for some work. I trust Joe and his work is second to none.
