Kyle Tucker, co-owner of Detroit Speed, Inc., driving the Detroit Speed 1970 Camaro Test Car won first place in the Vendor Street Challenge Autocross held at the Goodguys event in Costa Mesa, CA.
What seems to be the norm the past few years at Goodguys shows across the country, Kyle Tucker ran a 29.1 in the 1970 DSE Camaro Test Car which was good enough for 1st place. The run was Kyle’s final run of the autocross on Sunday afternoon.
Ryan Mathews of DSE posted the 2nd fastest time running a 29.4 with the DSE 1969 Camaro Test Car. This was the first time the 1969 Camaro ran an autocross with its new Mast Motorsports built LS L99 engine.
This was a great showing for the DSE Test Cars which are equipped with DSE’s Hydroformed Subframe and rear QUADRALink™. The DSE Test Cars provide the best of both worlds with excellent track handling and great ride quality on the street.
DSE thoroughly enjoyed the event and looks forward to more track time in the future.
