Unlike most unfortunate endings with stolen vehicles, Spectre Performance was able to recover their prized El Camino, including their transporter and here's what they had to say.

"The Truck/ Trailer was recovered on Sunday April 12, 2009 by the Riverside CHP, abandoned near an industrial area in Riverside. At the time, the El Camino was still missing along with several items in the trailer. The Ontario Police Department was able to recover much of the missing property throughout this past week and made 2 arrests, but the El Camino had not been found.

On Thursday, April 16, 2009 we received a phone call from the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Department. They found the EL Camino in the high desert abandoned behind a new shopping center. Fearing the worst, we picked up the car Thursday afternoon and were surprised to find that other than a missing mirror and a few scratches here and there it was fully intact and drivable. Luckily, the El Camino was found just in time to attend the B&M Charity Event in Chatsworth, Ca April 19, 2009.
