In celebration of the 56th birthday of the Corvette, Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway will showcase Vettes from six different decades at its inaugural Corvette Car Show on Sunday, June 28, from noon to 5 p.m.
Admission is free, and the event will be held rain or shine.
Corvette aficionados will get the chance to take a glimpse at vintage to present day cars from the '50s on. A total of 150-200 cars are expected to participate.
Empire City has joined forces with The National Corvette Restorers Society and the Westchester Corvette Club for this event. In addition, the National Corvette Museum (www.corvettemuseum.com), located in Bowling Green Kentucky, will be on hand to promote the Museum.
The following categories of Corvettes will be judged: C1: '53-'62; C2: '63-'67; C3: '68-'82; C4: '84-'96; C5: '97-'04; and C6: '05 to present.
For participants, registration will begin at 9:00 am through 11:00 am for the Corvette Car Show. A $15 entrance fee will be charged to all guest entering vehicles into the car show. Participants will receive a $5 food coupon and a $5 free play from Empire City. In addition, participants will receive a car plaque and t-shirt while supplies last.

Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway will continue to celebrate the 56th birthday of the Corvette by offering patrons the chance to drive home in a brand new Vette on Tuesday night, June 30, at 8:00 pm.
Participants will receive one entry for every 100 points earned throughout the month of June. In addition, Empire Club Members may also redeem 300 existing Empire Club points for one entry. Double entry Mondays June 15, June 22 and June 29. Empire Club members will receive two entries for 100 points earned.
On Tuesday, June 30, at 8:00 PM, 10 contestant's names will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries to participate in the Corvette Giveaway Drawing, and the chance to drive home in style.
