If you're a fan of big horsepower drag radial cars on stock-style suspension, then you don't want to miss the upcoming May '10 issue. We're going to give you the full disclosure of our 598ci big-block!

Its one thing to build an engine, but it's another to put it through its paces and lock down serious testing. If you've been following our progress, you'll know that this has been nearly two years in the making. Without a doubt, its been grueling, but the efforts have been well worth it with 7 second e.t.'s at over 180 mph in the quarter-mile on tiny 275 drag radials.

In this two part series, we'll start by detailing the bottom-end build and follow it up in the June issue by showcasing our cylinder heads and intake manifold of choice, including the nitrous system that got us there. More importantly, you'll get the dyno numbers and see just how much power a conventional 24-degree cylinder head can produce - trust me, the power numbers on the motor alone are sick!
