Getting the most from your Summer ride...
Getting the right preventative maintenance before you leave can help prevent roadside delays, and even increase your gas mileage! A few minutes spent checking your car's vital components can help you enjoy a summer of trouble-free driving. We recommend having your car throughly inspected by a certified technician to prepare for the warmweather driving.
At minimum make sure they check the systems below:
Check motor oil and condition. Always check the owner's manual for specific oil recommendations.
A properly functioning cooling system is critical to engine operation. Justice Brothers Cooling System Protector™ & Water Pump Lubricant will help prevent electrolysis and overheating. It is recommended that the cooling system and hose connections be checked frequently for leaks, damage or looseness. Inspect antifreeze/coolant level and condition, making certain the proper 50/50 mixture of water and coolant is present.
Inspect and replace worn, cracked, blistered, or soft radiator and heater hoses. Make to sure use a product like Justice Brothers Super Radiator Cooler™ to help prevent engine overheating and to improve the wetting ability of water.
Hot weather can shorten the life of a car's battery, so weak or old batteries should be tested and replaced if necessary.
Examine tires for uneven or excessive tread wear. Make sure all tires, including the spare, are inflated properly. Adjust your tire pressure according to your manufactures specifications for the best fuel economy, ride comfort, and handling.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM -
A malfunctioning air conditioning system can make the summer months unbearable. Have your system checked for refrigerant leaks and hose conditions. Some minor preventative maintenance like Justice Brother’s FRIDG-e™ LUBE service, can help restore the performance of your vehicle’s air conditioner. If your air conditioning system has a foul odor from not being used in awhile have your service professional use Justice Brothers AC-CLEAN™ to kill the bacteria, mold, and fungus that is in your vehicle’s air conditioning system.
Winter weather can be hard on your windshield wipers. Replace them at the beginning of the summer in case you get stuck in a summer rain shower. Check all lights, mirrors, safety belts, dashboard instruments, and all fluid levels.
