Featuring the Racers Against Street Racing True Street Challenge
Auto Club Speedway – Fontana, CA – July 8-10, 2011

Chevy High Performance will be participating at the JE Pistons NMRA/NMCA West Coast Shootout event at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA, the weekend of July 8-10, 2011, as a part of a special Racers Against Street Racing (RASR) event.  The NMRA & NMCA, in association with SEMA and our parent company, Source Interlink Media, will be hosting a special RASR True Street Challenge where street legal drag racers of all levels, magazine editors, and manufacturers will race against each other for awesome magazine coverage and tons of cool prizes put up by NMRA & NMCA sponsors!  Want to race with Chevy High Performance…then come out to Auto Club Speedway and get ready to bang the gears!

Would you like the chance to win a huge prize, cash, and get your picture in Chevy High Performance?  If so then bring your street car out to the West Coast Shootout and get ready to have the time of your life racing for fun and lots of great performance products.  The NMRA/NMCA West Coast Shootout will also feature heads-up drag racing, a huge car show, an autocross, and a giant manufacturers’ midway.

RASR brings the best performance magazines in the U.S. together with NMRA & NMCA sponsors to participate in TREMEC True Street, a class designed for “true” street cars that are licensed, insured and capable of making a 10-20 mile police escorted cruise.  The class will be contested on the Saturday of the event (July 9th) and each racer will run three back-to-back passes for an overall average E.T.  Awards and prizes will be given away to the overall fastest competitor, runner up, and the closest averages to 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 seconds.  There are 9 different winners in True Street with cars that range from mild to wild!  Performance product prizes will also be given away to the runner-ups in each category.  Special bonus - Nitto Tire will sponsor a quick 16 heads-up race on Sunday consisting of the fastest 16 racers from Saturday’s True Street class.
