Modern LS power made easy...
There are many benefits to retrofitting a classic muscle car or hot rod with a modern LS engine, including improved mileage, easy horsepower and modern reliability. The downside is shoehorning an LS engine into a classic engine bay. This used to mean placing the throttle body and bulky boot-style Mass Air Flow (MAF) meter directly behind the radiator - until now. The new LS MAF Conversion kits from Spectre Performance make LS swaps easy and can save up to 4-inches on the front of the motor thanks to an LS7 blade style drop-in MAF.
Designed for use with Spectre’s four-inch Muscle Car Cold Air Intake Kits, or any aluminum intake that the sensor pad can be welded to, the MAFS conversion kits are recommended for applications which require more air flow, additional space or are highly customized. Spectre blade-style MAF kits offer a more robust design and are less prone to flow sensitivities than the standard boot-style MAFS and are available in both 3-wire and 5-wire configurations. They also allow builders to use either custom or off-the-shelf cold air intakes, so your modern muscle motor does not have to breathe hot air straight out of the radiator, which can also boost power up to 10% over a cone stuck on the end of the throttle body.
The Spectre Performance LS MAF Conversion kit includes a GM LS7 blade-style sensor and aluminum mounting pad that can be welded just about anywhere on the intake tube in front of the throttle body. When placed in a 4" tube, it will flow up to 25% more air than stock and bulky boot-in style sensors.
