Compression & Cubes

In an  issue we cover the way to use your engine specs to figure out not only the obvious things like compression and cubic inches, but also what piston dome volume, gasket thickness, and combustion chamber volume means in the grand scheme of your engine.

We lined up a few different Mahle pistons at Rapp Racing in Huntington Beach, Ca recently and we started thinking about popular domes available for Chevy's these days, also we have to admit that we may have mistakenly rounded down a little too much on a recent engine we covered, so it's a perfect opportunity to show how to get an accurate factor using simple math.
